Moving On From Traumas
Traumatic events such as accidents, natural disasters, physical violence and sexual abuse trigger intense emotions. This is also true for experiences such as being bullied, emotionally abused or neglected which may be more covert but which can be equally emotionally traumatic. Possible consequences are post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety in several areas of life. A negative self-image and intense self-criticism can also be part of what gets in the way of living life fully and freely.
If something traumatic has happened to you, no matter if recently or long ago, and you find yourself struggling with the effects it has had on your life you deserve effective support. The mere passage of time and struggling on your own are not enough to heal from the very human reactions to traumatic experiences.
